Jenny Phillips is a talented, inspiring, and encouraging creative arts teacher. I’ve personally worked with Jenny one on one, throughout the duration of completing Unit 3&4 Drama Performance in which Year 12 students are given specific stimulus to choose from, from VCAA, and are asked to script, choreograph, and create a 7-minute solo to perform to a panel of three examiners. Jenny was a brilliant teacher and very supportive in the fact that when I got overwhelmed with the workload, Jenny was able to show me how to break the task up into achievable sections. She showed me the importance of having the finer details in my performance; something that the examiners looked out for and gave points towards.

Jenny is such a positive and outgoing person and always made me feel comfortable.

I was very prepared on examination day down at the Lighthouse Theatre Warrnambool. I am very pleased to say that my Solo Drama Performance, received an ‘A’ from the examiners an VCAA panel. I believe that without Jenny’s help my solo wouldn’t have been perfected to the standard it was and received such a fantastic grade.
